Church Services:
A church service is very loud and enthusiastic with wonderful singing and clapping to the many different rhythms. Each song is led by one of the worship leaders (often women) with the congregation joining in response.

Men and women sit on different sides of the church and children sit on mats at the front. There is no separate children’s session so they stay on their mats throughout the preach.

Kapela Church

Dayspring Christian Ministries has founded four churches in the last ten years:

Kings Church Mukubela:
This church was planted in 1997, the church meets in its own building which was constructed in 1999. It has a congregation of 70+. The church has built houses for Charles and Diesel, two very elderly villagers who have no family to help them.

Kings Church Shampule:
This church began in 2000 and is about 6 km East of Mukubela. They meet in the government school and have a congregation of about 30 people. A weekday children’s club has been started to try to reach the other village families.

Kings Church Chikoloma:
This church was planted in 2002 and is approximately 21 km West of Mukubela. About 100 people gather to worship in a grass-roofed structure. On its first anniversary a large number of people gathered for a celebration weekend. The local head men and others were invited to join in as they gave thanks to God for His provision through the previous months of drought - relief food was provided when needed followed by a good maize harvest from the drought resistant seed.

Kings Church Kapela:
Planted out from Chikoloma, Kapela held their first service in September 2003. There were 56 people including 23 children!! Lesa Mubutu (God is good).
